Lemons to Lemonade, a San Juan Capistrano–based nonprofit, hosts a free summer camp for kids who have experienced the loss of a parent, sibling, or loved one.
Founded by teens who have experienced loss themselves, Lemons to Lemonade creates a joyful space where kids can laugh, make friends, and realize they are not alone. Campers participate in meaningful arts and crafts where they can memorialize their loved one, paint on canvas, create keepsakes, and express themselves through creativity.
There is no shortage of fun! Camp highlights include a Build-A-Bear Workshop, visits from pet therapy animals, scavenger hunts, outdoor games, and plenty of art and creative activities.
And of course, it wouldn’t be summer camp without face painting, snow cones, and plenty of time for laughter, outdoor play, and making new friends.
Our goal is simple: to bring kids together in a supportive environment where friendship, joy, and resilience grow.
Camp will be held June 15–18, 9:00 AM-2:00 PM at Hidden Hills Elementary School in Laguna Niguel.
