DESCRIPTION:Community Dialogue: Understanding City Requirements and Responsibilities to Develop Affordable Homes Opportunities for Innovation and Community Building\,is hosted by the South Orange County Alliance for Housing in partnership with San Juan Capistrano\, San Clemente\, Mission Viejo and Dana Point. The dialogue starts at 9:30 a.m. at the San Juan Capistrano Community Center\, 25925 Camino del Avion. Mayor Mark Nielsen will welcome guests who will hear presentations by a host of panelists in a ?talk-show? style discussion. Participants will learn about cities' legal responsibilities and requirements to develop affordable homes in response to economic\, environmental\, transportation and social demand that growing/maturing cities face within Orange County. Participants will learn about the opportunities these developments bring for innovation\, improving region competitiveness and community building. Refreshments will be served at 9:30 a.m.\, and the program runs from 10 a.m. to noon.
